A Spotted Eagle Ray (Aetobatus narinari) soars through the crystal clear water of Baa Atoll in the Maldives. Unlike their stingray cousins, eagle rays are mostly pelagic, swimming around in the blue. They still search for their food on the ocean floor, however, using their delightfully smiley shovel-shaped snouts to dig around for prey such as crustaceans and small fish.
